pH-range: 5 - 9
pressure drop under clean conditions: < 100mbar
max. allowable pressure drop: 1,4 bar
Bursting prtessure: 3 bar (cartridges of the 1. stage)
Vessels:
Boiler plate, grain refined or austenitic steel, shell depending on requirements. Boiler plate and grain-refined shell are sandblasting inside and outside acc. to SA 21/2, finished inside with two layers of benzene-resistant coating, outside with one layer. Fittings are of 1.4514 Silumin or cadmium-plated steel.
TYPE LGFAS
Two stage separator with coalescer-elements
Inspection:
The vessels are manufactured and inspected acc to the German AD-Merkblatt by an independant inspection agency. Pressue vessel calculation to teh ASME code on requirement.
Cartridges:
1st stage: The coalescer cartridges are made of impregnated cellulose and glass fibre providing a combined surface and deep action and performs the following two functions:
a) Removal of solid impurities down to 1 micron.
b) Coalescence of the fine condensate droplets to larger ones and their precipitation.
2nd stage: The separator cartridges provides a surface action and are of a folded starconsrtuction, made of high quality cellulose specially treated for water and hydrocarbon repellence. Condensate droplets which may have been carried over from the first stage are retained by the separator cartridges (safety cartridges). The separator cartridge has the function of a superfine filter when the first stage might be blown. (burst cartridges)
Function:
The air or gas stream enters the vessel through the inlet nozzle. The first larger quantities of the condensate and solid impurities are separated at the inlet buffle in the lower part of the vessel. Finest solid impurities, droplets of condensate and mist of condensate are flowing to the upper part of the vessel passing through the coalescer elements from the inner tube to the outside. Solid impurities down to sizes of one micron are retained by the filter. The last small amounts of condensate are coalescing to small droplets and are flowing down into the upper collecting chamber of the vessel. Condensate droplets, that may have been carried over due to unfavourable operating conditions (gas flow is higher than the rated throughput) are retained by the downstream seprator cartridges, which are passed by the gasflow from the outside to the inner tube. The purified air or natural gas is leaving the vessel through the outlet nozzle.
Additionals:
Quick opening closure, 100% x-raying, pressure vessel calculation acc. to ASME and other various accessories can be ordered.
